Greg has has been shown to be the catalyst of year round public fire education. Be it through how when he started with the department and quickly recognized the importance of delivering fire prevention education to the local school age students and bargain an education program for them. He decided to help out on reducing the juvenile fire setting throughout the region and hosted a National Fire Academy Youth Fire setting Program and offered it throughout west Michigan.

Fred is a strong supporter of the goals and mission of MFIS and the fire service in general. He shows this by being the first member to join the Congressional Fire Service Institute and a strong supporter of the National Fire Academy.  He is the  Chairmen of the Public Safety Spectrum Committee that is working to the fire service better radio communication through 20mz broadband wireless communication.  


Al has been in the fire service for over 40 years. Over those years he has been very dedicated to his roles in the fire service. His dedication is always displayed with a big smile and greeted by business owners with a hand shake and a smile as he conducted his more than 500 annual inspection as of the businesses in his home town. His compassion for safety he reaches out to more than 2,500 children through safety visits to daycares, preschools and block parties.
