Certified Fire Protection Specialists
MFIS in cooperation with the NFPA will be hosting a two day course which will assist in preparing students to take the CFPS exam. The two day primer course will be held May 19 and 20, 2008 at the Kellogg Center on the Campus of MSU. The exam will then be offered on May 21, 2008.
MFIS members will received a reduced rate on the course and materials. The course is based on the 20th edition of the NFPA Fire Protection Handbook. It is important that you buy the appropriate course materials and register for the exam. .
Those interested in attending the course shall contact Ron Farr via email. Students from MFIS will be expected to pay for the books and certification exam. If you would like an application for the course, please contact Ron Farr directly. If you register through the NFPA web-page, make sure your application indicates that you are part of MFIS.
